I help find the film inside it.
I help find the film inside it.
I’m a Belgian video editor with over 25 years of experience in television and post-production. Before focusing mainly on editing, I also worked as a cameraman and director for television programmes, commercials and other video productions. That background still shapes the way I edit today. I look at footage not only as an editor, but also with an eye for camera, rhythm, story and emotion. Over the years, I have worked on many different kinds of projects, from documentaries and awareness campaigns to corporate films, branded content and aftermovies. Today, I work remotely from my studio in Dalarna, Sweden, for production companies in Belgium and the Netherlands. That distance works well for me. It gives me focus, calm and the space to really listen to the material. I love working with real stories. Documentaries, portraits, awareness campaigns, corporate films with a human side. Films where the feeling matters, but where the structure has to be right too. For me, editing is mostly about listening. To what people say, but also to what happens in between. A pause. A look. A small gesture. Sometimes that is where the real story begins. I like to keep things clear, honest and calm. I do not try to make a film louder than it needs to be. I try to find what is already there and shape it into something that feels natural, human and alive. Because I have worked in this field for many years, I can step into a project quickly and work independently. I am used to tight deadlines, a lot of material, sensitive stories and the practical side of remote editing. You bring the footage. I help find the film inside it.
